Our Story

Trace Aviation was started by Mike and Cheryl Pigott in 2004. At the beginning, Trace Aviation was a two man shop off the historic Natchez Trace at John Bell William’s Airport (M16) in Raymond, Mississippi.  Mike realized there was a need for quality King Air landing gear built with the eye of a mechanic.   His mission was to deliver quality King Air Landing Gear built per the aircraft Serial Number and configuration.  In 2021 Trace Aviation joined forces with Precision Aviation Group and has expanded their shop capabilities to offer even more quality products for the King Air market.

Today, Trace employs over 25 experienced aircraft professionals and continues innovating the way it overhauls King Air Landing Gear components. The only FAA Certified Repair Station (R39R997X)  located at the Jackson International Airport in Jackson, MS, we are a prime location for shipping worldwide, with EASA certification.
