Biography of Mike Pigott
Ever since Mike was a teenager he has been interested in aircraft maintenance and flying. While he was in high school in Jackson, Mississippi he earned his private pilot’s license and has been flying and maintaining airplanes ever since. In 1971 Mike received his Aircraft and Powerplant mechanic license (A&P) from Northwest Alabama State Technical Institute and in 1975 he moved to New Port Richey, Florida to open up Hidden Lake Air Service. From 1975 to 1995 Mike maintained all types of general aviation and specialized in 300 and 400 series Cessna. There he offered private pilot services and piloted part 135 C-421 Cessna and is currently King Air PIC qualified.
In 1995 Mike received his Bahama’s Aircraft Maintenance Engineer’s License from the United Kingdom Civil Aviation Authority and worked in the Caribbean as Director of Maintenance for Small Airlines.
Mike enjoys owning his own business, so after moving back to Mississippi in 1996 with his family he opened Trace Aviation at John Bell William’s Airport (M16) in Raymond, Mississippi. Trace Aviation, Inc. differs from Mike’s former companies because it not only maintains general aircraft but also specializes in King Air series. After receiving status as an FAA Certified Repair Station in 2004, Trace Aviation, Inc. has continued to strive to be the business that Mike wants it to be: a small, family owned company that focuses on keeping costs low while delivering the best product.
